What laser engraving is

Laser engraving is our standard finish, and every price on this site includes it. The laser burns your design into the surface of the leather, so the mark will not peel or fade.

Engraving produces a single tonal mark, and the leather decides its character. On genuine leather it is a deep, dark burn with natural variation. On faux leather it is crisp and high contrast, the most legible choice for fine text. Microfibre gives a crisp, tonal mark that is consistent from patch to patch, and faux suede a soft, tonal one.

Keep detail generous: hairline strokes and text under 2 mm high can fill in when engraved. Our designers simplify where needed, and your free digital proof shows exactly how your logo will look.

Laser Engraved Leather Patches: FAQs

Can’t find what you are looking for? Our team replies to every enquiry within one working day.

Ask Our Team
Can laser engraving do more than one colour?

No. Laser engraving produces a single tonal mark, and its shade comes from the leather you choose. For multi-colour logos, gradients or fine colour detail, choose full-colour print.

How small can text be?

Very fine lines and text under 2 mm high can fill in on leather. Our designers simplify where needed and flag anything that may not engrave cleanly, and your free digital proof shows exactly how your logo will look.

Does laser engraving cost extra?

No. Laser engraving is included in every patch price. Debossing and full-colour print are available as upgrades.

Which leather gives the sharpest engraving?

Faux leather (PU) engraves with crisp, high contrast, so fine text and detailed logos stay legible. Genuine leather gives a deep, dark burn with natural variation: the classic heritage look.
